YAMAHA YZR500 GP RACER

Reintroducing Tamiya's First 1/12 Motorcycle!

1981 saw the start of the now-legendary Tamiya 1/12 Motorcycle Series, with the release of this assembly kit of the Yamaha YZR500 Grand Prix Racer. The yellow No.1 YZR500 was the champion machine of star American rider "King" Kenny Roberts, who was champion for Yamaha 3 years running from 1978 to 1980. This high quality model reproduces the YZR500's advanced mechanics and top-class design to an incredible level of accuracy. Details include the four cylinder, two-stroke water-cooled 500cc engine mounted in a twin loop, square section frame as well as the smooth cowling that hugs the rider and protrudes slightly over the rear wheel. High quality Cartograf decals are included for enhanced realism.
